We want to thank you very much for the great spirit and quality of care Leone received in her more than three years with you. Rarely did we see her distressed, and even then you were on the scene quickly with comfort and needed support. It was a long and, at times stressful journey for her. Still we heard repeatedly from Mom that she appreciated all of you and the help you were offering.

Needless to say, the entire family was assured that she was always in good hands. We experienced you as a very friendly, kind and highly professional. Our impression on reflecting over these years was how fortunate she was that her dementia remained so gradual in its development that the changes she faced could be handled in good spirit and that she could maintain her gentleness of spirit. Thank you for helping to make all this possible!"

My mother Helen, age 97, has been living at the Bellcare A.F.H., owned and operated by Cristina Ivan, RN, since February, 2006.

It was truly a blessing to find such a beautiful home and caring staff for my  mom. Cristina makes sure Mom stays healthy and her staff keeps Mom fed with "home cooked" meals. This home is a "HOME" not just an adult care facility. It is spotless and smells "clean" ... and so does Mom!

Mom can walk through the house with her walker (5' hallways). There are no stairs to maneuver, and the doors have alarms. I know my Mom is safe and she feels safe from intruders.

I am very thankful to have Cristina Ivan, R.N. and staff taking care of Mom!"

Mom passed away today. I am discovering that the head and the heart are in different places when such an event  occurs. I am sad to have lost my mother and yet I know she does not belong here any longer in a body that is not cooperating.

Mom's caregivers Cristina and George, were at her side when she closed her eyes for the last time. She died peacefully, without drugs, without pain, without any discomfort. Mom was 97 and a half. How about that? She was care for by the best people these last two years. We were all blessed to have Cristina and her staff caring for Mom with such attention and kindness.Cristina said to me, "I always say, 'What if this was me?'"

I thank you so much for all you for my Mother while she was with you at Bellcare. Your professional and personal care and attention in a warm and loving environment enabled her to live the last five years of her life with dignity and peace of mind.

In addition to your attention to her medical needs, some of the things I most appreciate are your consideration for her cleanliness and grooming. She was always impeccably clean, her hair was combed and styled, her nails were done and she was nicely dressed, all of which were so important to her all her life. I also sincerely appreciate both of your demeanors, as well as that of your caregivers. There was never a harsh word, a raised voice or negative attitude; everyone was always pleasant, cheerful and extremely kind, which were also some of my Mother's most positive qualities.

It's so hard to watch one's parents decline and approach the time when you will never see them again. you made this period in our lives less painful, because we knew that you were always there for her, medically , personally and emotionally, and that you considered her family and treated her as such. If she were able, she would give you both a big hug and tell you "Thank you both for being who you are and doing what you do."

I would feel honored to speak with anyone who is considering Bellcare for their loved one. Please feel free to provide my phone number to those who are going through this difficult decision-making process!"

Over the last two years, my aunt, Ann, has been in the care of Bellcare Adult Family Home. Prior to that she was a resident at several other facilities, so we have had experience with other care facilities and how they match up with Bellcare.

Cristina, George and their staff have consistently shown patience and personal care that were not evident at any other facility we have had experience with. We have been promptly notified if there is a a concern regarding my aunt's condition.

In addition, we have a habit of dropping in unexpectedly and have always been pleased with the condition of the facility and the care my aunt receives.

I would give an unconditional recommendation to Bellcare and would be pleased to talk to anyone considering them as caregiver for a loved one!"
